Fintech Breakfast “Security in the Digital Environment – From DORA to eZīmogs”
On Friday, May 30, Fintech Breakfast “Security in the Digital Environment – From DORA to eZīmogs” took place in a truly symbolic location — the Latvian Radio and Television Tower, just before its reconstruction begins.
This time, we focused on topics that are often under-discussed yet increasingly relevant: cybersecurity, digital waste, the DORA regulation, and the potential of eZīmogs solutions.
Sincere thanks to the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre team for their warm welcome, informative presentations, and the opportunity to explore the tower’s past and future.
We also thank:
- Arnis Šinka, Chief Information Systems Supervision Expert at Latvijas Banka, for insights into DORA implementation in Latvia
- Laura Ērkšķe, Senior Associate at TGS Baltic, for explaining the cybersecurity regulatory framework and practical tools
Some key takeaways:
- We live in a world where internet access is more widespread than access to clean drinking water
- Due to increasing geopolitical risks, cybersecurity is now a matter of national and global security
- The volume of digital waste presents not only an environmental but also a cybersecurity threat
- Regulation is tightening — organizations must ensure compliance, especially with DORA
