Visit to Israel Strengthens Latvia-Israel Fintech Collaboration
An inspiring visit to Israel, organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), has concluded.
Key takeaways:
✅ A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Israel Fintech Center – we believe this marks the beginning of a successful partnership!
✅ The Israeli fintech ecosystem was introduced to opportunities for entering the European Union market through Latvia.
✅ Meetings were held with leading law firms to present Latvia’s offerings to companies aiming to expand into the EU market. Heartfelt thanks to Ramona Miglāne and the Sorainen team for making this possible.
These visits confirmed that we are on the right path! The delegation worked as a unified team: Marine Krasovska (Latvijas Banka), Reinis Znotiņš (Latvian Blockchain Association), Renat Lokomet (Venture Faculty), Deniss Filipovs (Magnetiq Bank), and Gabriel Stefanak (DECTA).
Special recognition to Minister of Economics Viktors Valainis for his outstanding work ethic, and gratitude to Irina Rubinchik and the entire LIAA team, Laura Štrovalde and the Ministry of Economics team for organizing this excellent visit!
And last but not least – so much inspiration from the “Startup Nation”!
