This autumn, on 5 November, the Latvia Fintech Forum took place for the third time in Riga. The event brought together representatives of the financial technology sector from the Baltics and other European countries for engaging discussions about current developments within the sector, as well as offered opportunities for networking and starting new collaborations. During the forum, a fintech start-up competition was also held, organised by the accelerator Tenity, an international participant in the innovation ecosystem.

The FinTech Forum was organized by Latvijas Banka in collaboration with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency (RITA). This year’s FinTech Forum participants analyzed the development of Latvia’s FinTech sector and discussed trends in the FinTech industry in Europe and worldwide.

A significant part of this year’s Fintech Forum was dedicated to the fintech start-up competition organised by accelerator Tenity. The audience had the opportunity to watch the competition finalists’ pitches, as well as the award ceremony.

We witnessed the exciting competition, where eight incredible finalist teams took the spotlight. These inspiring teams showcased their innovative ideas, competing for top prizes and a potential syndicate investment from the angel community.

We’re thrilled to congratulate the winners: Sorainen awarded Zeipt, WALLESS awarded Sweephy, and the Tenity Golden Ticket along with an investment from the Latvian Business Angels Network went to Securities LAB!

Their dedication and innovative spirit truly made an impression, and we’re excited to see what lies ahead for each of them. Their exceptional ideas brought the competition to life!
