About Istanbul Fintech Week

The two-day premier fintech gathering will focus on converging traditional and new finance, covering various topics, including Web3, digital currencies, artificial intelligence, financial technology utilization in businesses, digital banking, and payment services. With over 80 speakers and more than 25 sponsors and partners, IFW’24 will host 65 sessions across six sub-summits. The event provides a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their startups to investors and for tech companies to exhibit their products to potential customers. Countries like Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan will share insights into their fintech ecosystems. The event will also host nine roundtable discussions on key industry topics with high-profile attendees. Like in previous years, the event is expected to attract over 1,500 participants.

This year’s Istanbul Fintech Week will feature notable speakers including Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey; Clara Drodie, author of “Decoding AI in Financial Services”; Christina Frankopan from UCL Blockchain Center; Jason Mikula, publisher of Fintech Business Weekly; Paolo Sironi, Global Research Director of Banking at IBM; Amnah Ajmal, Executive Vice President for Mastercard EEMEA; and Pınar Özcan, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Oxford University. The event will also host a high-level roundtable discussion titled “The Impact of Financial Inclusion on the Economy,” chaired by Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, Rector of Topkapı University.

The first day of Istanbul Fintech Week will focus on Web3, Artificial Intelligence in Finance, and Tradetech Summits. After the opening speech, topics such as Bitcoin ETFs and post-halving developments will be explored. This session will study asset tokenization opportunities and compare traditional finance to Web3 technologies. The second half of the day will delve into Artificial Intelligence applications in finance and the role of technology in capital markets across two distinct summits. The day will conclude with the “Pioneers of Digital Finance” awards ceremony.
